Mopar, the engine used in several cars makers from dodge and even Plymouth. They all used mopar in at least one of their cars but I think that dodge and Plymouth are famous for using these motors nicknamed mopar for whatever reason. A lot of people think that mopar is a derogatory term, used by non-mopar users such as a Chevy drivers to suggest that the car has a tiny engine and cannot live up to the standards set by hemi engines which where the best of the time. I am here to tell each and every one of you that it is not a derogatory term it simply stands for motor parts coined by Chrysler in the late 1920s as a brand of engine to be put into all cars made or stock. Cars known to be mopars are the basically any made by the following American Motors Corporation (1954–1988) · Commer (1905–1979) · Barreiros (1959–1978) · DeSoto (1928–1961) · Eagle (1988–1998) · Fargo (1920–1972) · Hillman (1907–1976) · Humber (1898–1975) · Imperial (1955–1975, 1981–1983) · Karrier (1908–1977) · Plymouth (1928–2001) · Singer (1905–1970) · Simca (1934–1977) · Sunbeam (1901–1976) · Valiant (1960–1966
